| 1 | Dr. Ashok Kumar opened the meeting | Agenda for today's meeting was presented to all members | |
| 2 | 2014 AAPI Convention | Dr. Ashok Kumar announced that San Antonio was awarded the 2014 AAPI convention. Everyone felt that more member volunteers are needed for this big event and at least two years of planning. EC team thanked Dr. Jayesh Shah and Neela Patel for their contributions in bringing the convention to San Antonio. During the mix and mingle, Dr. Koli opened up the discussion on the upcoming convention. He told the group that Dr. Jayesh is proposing him to be the convention chair. Dr. Koli also suggested it would be a good idea to be the convention chair for any young and enthusiastic physician who is pursuing AAPI leadership. | |
| 3 | Movie night June 1st week | Dr. Gotimukula will lead this event and coordinate with Ram Joolukuntla regarding the movie and location and date. | |
| 4 | Mix & Mingle gatherings | Next Mix& mingle will be planned in August. Dr. Shankar Sanka will be the lead of this event. Venue will be in San Marcos, we will coordinate with Austin, Temple, Victoria & Corpus Physicians. Dr. Gunuganti offered to get a sponsor for this event | |
| 5 | Annual Charity gala in early December | Dr. Gurram, Dr. Gunuganti and Dr. Rasamallu will be leading this event. Date and location will be announced by May 7th.Beneficiary: UT Medical Student scholarship foundation and support a poor school in India. |

| 6 | TIPS SW chapter Alliance | Everyone felt the need for formation of Alliance with spouses, more details will be discussed in the next EC meeting. | |
| 7 | Membership Drive | Dual membership offer is still effective until June 30th. Every EC and TIPS members will work on personal basis to join more Life members to TIPS. Will need more members from Austin, Temple, Victoria/Mc Allen area physicians | |
| 8 | Treasurer Report | Five new members joined during the month of March 2011, and they are Dr. Vijay Gunuganti, Dr. Kishore Rasamallu, Dr. Rajsekhar Pathapati, Dr. Praveen Anumula, and Dr. Kiran Cheruku. Taxes this year will be submitted by Dr. Gotimukula. | |
