AAPI Activities in India:

  1. AAPI funds 15 free clinics in India.
  2. AAPI and its members, individually or in collaboration with NGO’s, hospitals and medical institutions conduct on the average 30 health education programs every year in India.
  3. The AAPI charitable foundation has provided financial and medical help in the event of natural calamities, such as the earthquake, Tsunami, floods etc.
  4. AAPI has helped build four hospitals in Gujarat after the earthquake. Also a trauma center in Maharashtra, a burn center in Ahmedabad, disaster preparedness system in Gujarat, an emergency medical system and trauma center in Pune, Hydrabad and Ahmedabad have been established.
  5. After Katrina, AAPI provided mental health care to the victims and is now in the process of establishing a mental health center in collaboration with Seva Bharati.
  6. The first Para-medic training program was established in Pune. Advanced Cardiac Life Support Courses are conducted every year.
  7. AAPI is currently involved in a major Diabetes research project in collaboration with researches in India.
